I am the staff member on the RAU governing council.

I received Certified Membership of the Association of Learning Technologists (CMALT) in September 2019. You can read my CMALT portfolio.

I have been dealing with digital information in some form or other for over 20 years. During my career I have worked in many related areas from learning technology, open education and digital humanities, to research data management, digital infrastructure and technical development. I have high-level project management experience on a varied collection of digital projects. 

Areas of expertise: competent and articulate communicator experienced at report writing and giving presentations explaining complex technical concepts to both non-specialists and specialists from various disciplines. Broad technical knowledge and work equally well on practical and theoretical projects. Considerable event organisation experience and training facilitation skills and has been involved with national and international events, both as an organiser and as a presenter/facilitator.

Core areas of knowledge: learning technology, open education, open data, open access, digital libraries, digital humanities, metadata, archives, digital preservation, GLAM, knowledge management, licensing, repositories, Higher Education.

I have an English and Psychology degree (2:1) from Liverpool John Moores University and an MSC in Information Management from Manchester Metropolitan University.
